The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions. The terms listed are subject to change at any time. Any changes will take effect on the date they are posted (see date at the foot of the page). Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference. To order goods you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Product specifications, images and other information published on this website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturer's, publications, publicists, or been gathered from public-domain sources. Mear Technology's intention is to ensure that all information on the website should be as accurate and up to date as possible. There is no guarantee of the reliability or the accuracy of the information contained within the site. Actions taken by the user of the website are theresponsibility of the individual. Images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on this site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer's brochures or their websites. All trademarks are acknowledged.


Prices & Payment

The prices quoted on this website are valid for Internet sales only.

All prices and charges on this site are in UK pounds and exclude VAT and delivery charges (for details see 'Delivery' below).

Mear Technology reserves the right to adjust prices to take account of any increase in supplier's prices or the imposition of any taxes or duties. Prices may be subject to change if the price published for the goods is wrong. In all cases you be will informed of the correct price and provided the opportunity to cancel the order.

Most major credit and debit cards are accepted these include Visa, MasterCard and Switch. The cardholder's full details including name, address and telephone number as registered with the bank are required. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing orders. Orders will only be processed once authorisation of payment has been properly received.


Accepting Orders & Security

Once the order is placed, the customer will be notified via e-mail of the confirmation and expected delivery date. (See Delivery)

Before any order is accepted Mear Technology may use the information you have provided, or already held about you, or received from any trade reference to confirm your identity. These measures are to protect both Mear Technology and its clients from fraudulent transactions.



Important Notes:

  • Delivery can only be made to the Cardholders Address for new customers.
  • At the point of delivery you may be requested to provide identification that confirms your name and address, such as a valid passport, driving license or utility bill.

Delivery Services on offer are:

Standard Delivery:

  • Provided via Registered Insured Royal Mail postal service
  • Duration: Usually up to 3-5 working days (provided goods are in stock)
  • Larger items may take up to 14 working days.
  • Please contact us prior to ordering as an extra delivery charge may occur.

Express Delivery:

  • Cost: Call 01506 668 613 for details
  • Duration: 24/48 hours (provided goods are in stock)
  • Larger items or specified delivery, please call.

Next Day Delivery:

  • Cost: Call 01506 668 613 for details
  • Order must be placed over the telephone before 12pm
  • Available on selected products only and provided goods are in stock
  • Next Day Delivery is not available on orders placed online.

Mear Technology endeavour to deliver all items within the time scales given above, however delivery services are reliant on third party carriers and Mear Technology cannot be held liable for any delays and/or loss of earnings caused by a delay.

On selected products, Free Delivery is available. This will be calculated on the gross weight and value of the order and added to your shopping basket. This will be shown separately at the checkout. Express Delivery is also on offer, which guarantees delivery within 3-5 working days (provided the goods are in stock). Express delivery is available at an extra cost and can be arranged over the phone.

Delivery services listed above are for UK mainland delivery only. If you live within one of the following postcode districts or outside of the UK please email or telephone for a delivery quotation - BT, IM, ML, IV, KW, HS, ZE, TR, PO30s.

Please note goods will not be shipped outside of the UK or to BFPO addresses.

On occasion goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. Customers will be informed of a tentative delivery date. If the customer agrees to wait for delivery, they will be kept updated on the progress of their order. If the goods are not delivered within the agreed timescale, the customer will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods. Orders will be delivered on our behalf by one of our couriers and made between 8.00am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday. If a timed delivery is required (e.g.Before 12.00am, Saturday) this can be arranged at an extra cost.

Courier companies are not insured to enter your house/premises and will therefore require your help (or other recipient) in handling any order in excess of 25kgs.

Mear Technology will not accept liability of goods lost in transit unless notified within 5 days from the expected delivery date.

Please note that Mear Technology shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by a delay in delivering goods if not responsible for the delay. In the unlikely event that your product appears lost or is damaged in transit please contact us immediately, or telephone 01506 668 613. It is strongly recommend you keep the original packing in case you have any reason to return your purchase.


Shortages & Incorrect Goods

It is the customer's responsibility to check and sign for all packages as shown on the delivery consignment note. It will be the customer's responsibility to notify Mear Technology of any shortages as soon as possible.


Damage in Transit

If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note and it will be the customer's responsibility to inform Mear Technology as soon as possible.


Product Guarantee

The manufacturer guarantees all purchases for a period of 12 months, unless stated, from date of invoice. The guarantee excludes faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse by the customer. In addition, routine maintenance, consumables (styli, plug fuses, cables, batteries, etc), cosmetic damage is not covered.

If your product should fail within this period, the customer services department will arrange for repair, either in your premises (for non-portable products on UK mainland) or by return to the manufacturer's authorised service agents.

Cancellations & Returns

You may return your order within 7 working days from the day after delivery; however, Mear Technology must be notified in writing or by contacting us informing of your intention to cancel, within 7 working days after receipt of the goods. Please note email notification is preferred.

Please note that orders that have already been processed will be subject to an administration charge.

  • Goods must be returned to the Returns Department within 14 days from authorisation. After the 14 days, returns of unwanted and non-faulty items will not be accepted.
  • Goods must be re-packaged as received. If you have opened the box to examine the product it must be re-packaged with reasonable care in order to prevent any damage in transit. All components and accessories must be returned.
  • Any 'Free' goods supplied with the products must also be returned.

Please note:

Returns of the following items:
Recording Media which have been opened (CDs, DVDs or Minidiscs) / goods which were a special order to the customer's specification will not be accepted. It is your responsibility to return the unwanted items at your expense and risk. Returns will not be accepted without prior authorisation. The returns authorisation is valid for up to 14 days only. Goods sent back without prior authorisation will be returned back to you and the cost of delivery charged to your account.



Full refund of the cost of the goods will be given upon the above conditions being met and the refund authorised only after a full inspection of the goods to confirm all the correct items have been returned and their condition verified.

  • If the goods returned are complete and unused including all accessories and in a re-sellable condition: You will be refunded the full invoice amount less the cost of collection where arranged by Mear Technology.
  • If the goods returned are complete and unused but with accessories missing: You will be refunded the full invoice price, less the cost of collection and cost of missing accessories (see below for an indication of the charges).
  • If the goods returned are not in a re-sellable condition:
    We will not accept these back under the above terms and the goods will be returned back to you and the cost of delivery charged to your account.

Mear Technology Price Guarantee

Mear Technology continually monitors prices to keep ahead of our competitors. However, if you find the same product cheaper (including delivery), supplied by an UK authorised dealer, brand new boxed and in stock, then we will try and match the price of the difference previous to or at time of purchase. This excludes any grey imports.


Data Protection Act

Mear Technology is committed to protecting your privacy. Information collected about clients is used lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998)

Information is collected for 2 reasons: firstly, to process orders and second, to provide the best possible service.

Your data will never be passed to third parties unless instructed by you or to complete an order (i.e. where when purchasing licensing from certain vendors).

The type of information collected about clients includes (but not limited to):

  • Your name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Credit/debit card details

The information retained will be accurate and up to date. Clients can request a copy of data by initially contacting us If any inaccuracies are located these will be promptly deleted or corrected. The personal information, which is hold, will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy. If Mear Technology intends to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) clients consent will always be obtained first.

Mear Technology may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to its websites. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify visitors unless you modify your browser settings. Force Majeure

Mear Technology will not be under any liability whatsoever in the event that Mear Technology is prevented or delayed from supplying or making delivery of any Goods by any reason or cause beyond Mear Technology's control.



The management and staff at Mear Technology try very hard to provide a high level of customer service but they are only human and will on occasion make mistakes. However, they promise though that if mistakes are made they will do their utmost to correct them.

A sub-processor is a third party data processor engaged by Mear Technology Ltd, who has or potentially or will have access to or process Service Data (which may contain Personal Data).

Mear Technology Ltd undertakes to use a commercially reasonable selection process by which it evaluates the security, privacy and confidentiality practices of proposed sub-processors that will or may have access to or otherwise process Service Data.
