CLIENT BACKGROUND
Level Up Gaming Ltd is a new gaming venue at 67A/2 Whitburn Road, Bathgate, West Lothian, EH48 1HE.
The address is well known locally. The venue occupies part of the former night club “Room At The Top”, a building that has now been split into a variety of small business units.
Level Up Gaming is a gaming venue with 2 Motion Gaming racing simulators and 10 gaming desks, in two rows of five. Players can race against each other or team up in the Arena. The venue is fully equipped with high spec gaming PCs supporting a range of games, and also hosts birthday parties.
BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Level Up Gaming needed a complete technical setup delivered to a tight opening deadline, after their original supplier left them stranded.
The client required:
- A full network covering router, LAN and Wi-Fi
- A guest captive portal and commercial setup
- Cat 6 data cabling and a rack throughout the venue
- A network tuned for low latency gaming on their dedicated high speed leased line
- TV installation and hands-on technical advice
- Everything ready before opening day

The Solution
Wi-Fi and Network Design
Mear Technology used TP-Link Omada Design Hub to design and deploy a Wi-Fi LAN for the venue, including a guest captive portal and commercial setup.
The full network, covering router, LAN and Wi-Fi, was specified to make the most of Level Up Gaming’s dedicated high speed leased line and keep a low latency ping for the ultimate gaming experience.
Cabling and Installation
Mear Technology provided Cat 6 data cabling and a rack throughout the venue, and installed the venue TVs.
Delivered Against the Clock
When the original supplier left Level Up Gaming stranded and up against a tight deadline, Mear Technology stepped in with technical advice and hands-on delivery.
This allowed Level Up Gaming to set up their 2 Motion Gaming racing simulators and their gaming rigs in the Arena, ready for opening day.
